Biblical Exegesis

A guide to find bible commentaries, online and in the library

What is exegetical research?

Biblical exegesis involves the interpretation, explanation, and exposition of the Bible's various books, in relation either to the time of their composition, or to their meanings for readers in subsequent centuries. The basis of biblical exegesis is translation and the detailed study and explanation of grammatical meaning.

Many GTU courses use the Turabian style (8th edition), but please check with your professor to confirm. We keep many style guides (and editions) in the library, but please ask if you can't find the one you need.
