**Getting Started with Library Research**

Learn how to use the GTU library, including finding books & articles & more.

Database options and remote access

GTU students, faculty, and staff have access to thousands of journals on theology, both online and in print. The majority of our articles are available online, but if you are a distance student and need help accessing a print-only resource, please contact us.

We recommend using Summon, which is linked off the library homepage. It searches all our e-resources plus GRACE our catalog in one easy place.

However, most of these resources can be accessed from the e-resources page, which is linked from the library homepage if you wanted to go into a database individually.

Summon is the best place to start your search for online resources including articles and e-books.

Can't login?

  • Check that you are entering your last name and student ID number. Some schools have added letter prefixes (like J for JST, to the front of the numbers)
  • If you have fines over $25 you may lose access (fines are only for print material- so if you haven't checked out a physical book with us, you probably don't have fines)
  • Still can't get in? Ask us! library@gtu.edu or chat us.
